Daily work in the studio, surrounded by trains and their movements. Photographic documentation of this situation has been created since 2019. This is followed by notebooks with the aim of organizing the resulting images. Well over 10,000 photos have been taken since 2019 – when a train is documented, every single carriage is photographed. I now know many of them. Either the fleet numbers are limited, or they have noticed that I am watching them. Perhaps they enjoy the limelight. Editing this huge archive is the aim of GB [DOKU] and the reason for the collaboration with the @auszuege collective. In this first edition, wagons were selected on which paintings in black and white can be seen. Similar to the development of a complex work, it is often simple contrasts that serve as a starting point. The booklets will be small and inexpensive. The black and white edition is to be seen as a starting signal.
