26931 Paradies is a locality in the district of Wesermarsch in Lower Saxony. A group of Master’s students set out for Paradies in April 2021. How do they perceive, see, and interpret this place, which initially appears boring, bland, and unremarkable? Or is the name a promise and worth the journey by itself? Through text, photography, illustration, graphics, and sound, the space between the realities of the place, personal experiences, and idealized notions of paradise is explored as a temptation. The result is a multifaceted, subjective artistic perspective that shifts between this world and the next, concrete and abstract, visible and invisible.
