Temptations in Image and Text

26931 Paradies is a locality in the district of Wesermarsch in Lower Saxony. A group of Master’s students from the Studio of Culture and Identity set out for Paradies in April 2021 to discover whether the name alone is worth the journey. How do they expect, see, and interpret this place? Through text, photography, illustration, graphics, and sound, the space between the realities of the place, personal experiences, and idealized notions of paradise is explored as a temptation. The artistic perspectives, which shift between this world and the next, concrete and abstract, visible and invisible, will be presented as a publication and as an exhibition in the space of the Galerie Mitte.
